The amazing LagosMums organised the first conference of it’s kind for Nigerian mothers – Lagos Mum Conference and Exhibition – with stalls, speakers, shops, and all kinds of advice for Nigerian mothers.
“All the Nigerian mothers here today are learning and sharing from one another, and this event is comparable to what happens internationally,” says one visiting mother to the conference. “I feel like I’m a Nigerran mother in Chicago right now.”
“I set up LagosMums when I had my second child and I found there was nothing available for Nigerian mothers based in Lagos to raise children,” explains Yetti WIlliams, the founder of LagosMums. “To answer questions on where should I send my children to school, where to I buy the uniforms, where do I find domestic staff – and now it’s grown into a huge community of mums online.”
But now LagosMums is branching out from simply an online presence to having physical events such as the conference today. All variety of women have come to the conference for all varieties of reasons:
“I’m here because I support the program for Nigerian mothers. As a mother I don’t know it all, and I’ve come to learn what other mums are doing in Lagos,” says one visitor to the conference.
“It’s exciting to see the work going on by Yetti Williams, and I’m a mother so I wanted to learn the best about how to take care of my daughter and how they excel in life,” explains another Nigerian mother.

Lagos Mums is an online community where mums can meet; ask questions; give advice; a place where they can dialogue. Bonds can be made, find that shopping deal, find that store with that LBD, discuss nanny issues, talk about schools, discover events around the city and talk about finances and career…The Lagos Mum today is an internet warrior, bb toting, laptop carrying; and that led to the birth of Lagos Mums, an online community as the destination for information and answers on the go.

do black women ever wear their own natural hair that grows out of their head. black woman pays hundreds of dollars to wear another woman’s hair sewn into her head but you would have to pay her to wear her own natural hair
Black men put light skin women on a pedestal(Beyonce, Rihanna, Halle etc) then wonder why black women bleach. A girl on twitter posted a pic with her natural hair and black men made fun of her.
