Lagos gives hilarious names and meaning to it’s massive foot Statue.

Lagos @ 50 has no doubt been one the most remarkable celebration in Lagos as a State. Maintaining its culture and heritage seems to be the drive as the celebration not only took turn to have interesting culture centered events but also has the city beautified with interesting artworks and statues in strategic places.

Battabox Sent Folly and BollyLomo to the street of Lagos to enjoy the beautiful sights of the statues and also ask people what the artworks means to them. The team met with the man who designed the big foot.

Here are some of the comments:

“I can see policemen in uniform, other tribes i guess”

“I can see religion in it, i can see tradition in it as well”

“It means that pedestrian should be very careful when crossing the road”

“It means that one of the gods has put their legs down in Lagos”

Please stop saying Lagos is 50. Lagos is more than 1000 years old.
