People come to visit from Nigeria and diaspora for different reasons, some to be that they are seeking from Osun, the river goddess blessings, protection, fertility, some of them even show up for just the merriment.
Back to the topic of the moment, Arugba, calabash carrier in the Osun oshogbo festival is meant to be a virgin and is chosen by the consultation of the gods before being ordained as the rightful one.
