surrounded by cameras.
Contestants participate in tasks, enjoy rewards and suffer punishments and vote each other off the show at intervals.
It’s modelled off George Orwell’s novel, Nineteen Eighty Four, about oppressive government surveillance.
Big Brother Nigeria is back after 10 years but many Nigerians were shocked to hear that it’s taking place in South Africa!
So BattaBox hit the streets to find out what Nigerians think about that.
“For us to go to South Africa to shoot big brother Nigeria – That is wrong!” one lady exclaims.
“I think it’s really pathetic…it shows that there is something fundamentally wrong,” another woman says.
“If the end product is going to be better quality, then obviously why not?” one man says.
What do you think?
Do you think a show called Big Brother Nigeria should be held outside Nigeria?
Thanks for watching!

With dollar crisis, light and all the wahalas businesses go through in Nigeria. I say why not. You can’t always wait for the government to do their job, when you have the choice to choose better. The leaders of the country need to see this
…. And… if there was no context of them and us (I am all for a pan African socioeconomic society and economy , because I am aware of who we truly are) then the producers should not have to brand one as BBSA and another as BBN / BBNaija and then call this BBNaija SA (that’s ridiculous, so no matter the “costs” it should have been done I Naija… besides MultiChoice / DSTV SA have made a killing in Naija over the years, how about investing in the local youth and talent….. employment and opportunities anyone?
music is a little loud
Another reminder that maybe Nigeria is not the “Giant of Africa”.
Having Big Brother Africa is wrong period.
People talking about electricity and how Nigeria doesn’t have any. There is something called a power inverter, I have one in my house that gives me electricity 24/7 you just charge your inverter when nepa gives you light. Yes, you are limited to using a few things but it still works effectively. You use what you have
South Africa is so overrated… We need to get that third world hellhole off its pedestal… If the show is shot in SA then its not big brother Nigeria… its big brother SA. Also Africans must reject western media or it will dumb you down.
Because they have constant electricity there.
