“I started learning how to make crowns soon after I left secondary school,” he explains to Odunayo.
“You know kings have always been crowned since before I was born. Some even come with a picture of their ancestor’s crown for me to remake for them.”
“This type is called Peke. It’s for traditional chiefs,” he shows Odunayo a small crown before taking her around the rest of his shop.

Beautiful. Many of us in the diaspora (Jamaica ) are hungry for this. It nourishes the soul and helps us to reconnect with our ancestors. (Battabox ) you’re serving a greater service then you can imagine, wonderful.
Beautifully made and very interesting. Very pleased that these traditions are still active.
I think this is my favourite video so far on BattaBox. Probably the twins videos will come second. Very good job, Odun and Kayode. Please keep shooting more videos that reveal more of our culture to us. Thanks, guys. Thank you, BattaBox
