Imagine coming home and seeing that your entire house has been completely demolished?
This is what happened in Otodo Gbame, a fishing community in Lagos, Nigeria…
A home to THOUSANDS of Nigerian men, women and children!
Two people died during the demolition and hundreds sustained injuries!
Allegedly the residents had no idea that the Nigerian government was planning to demolish their homes that day! Leading to many being TRAPPED inside the property!
Those that were out at the time were prevented from entering their homes to rescue items, money…
When we heard about the injustice, Battabox decided to investigate…
“So as you born your pikin finish, na when they come break this place?” Adeola asked Ayo, a now homeless single mother of a less than one month old baby!
“Yes…I sleep outside with my baby,” Ayo replies.
Thanks for watching!

sometimes I believe Jamaican heritage are from Nigeria because when u speaking pidgin English it sounds like patois English the way how Jamaicans would talk
did y’all see the beautiful houses across from this
squatters? awful to lose roof over yur head cruel
this is evil.
This is sad and a big mistake by the government to do this. I understand that it’s valuable land but when the area was sold to developers, the cost of relocating the current residents should have been included in the price. If developers build new housing or tourism destinations, these people could’ve have enhanced the culture of the area by catching and selling fish to the new residents or tourists visiting. This could’ve been planned-out and worked out well for developers, these residents and everyone involved. It’s just sad what happened here and Africans shouldn’t do these kinds of things to Africans.
I can’t believe people are so careless, people just passed this video by..this is heart breaking
fuck Nigeria government. both the governor’s. president and all of them
naija treat themself like ape
Terrible!.This is my take on this awful situation. The government could have spent ten percent of whatever that land is going to be sold in relocating these people first. They are lagosians and nigerians therefore deserve better. They own that land since forever really.Nigerian government are a bunch of coward with no single ability to reason neither govern. They are quick to destroy, destroy and destroy but lack the ability, will or knowhow to create or develop.Sometimes people wonder why africa is regressing? Why wouldn’t they? When they keep treading on the weak, the poor, and the needy.People that God actually want us to lift up.Kicking people that are already down. What a coward mindset and government.Don’t despair people, let me make my millions,l will spend it all in bringing these illiterate government, criminal senators and genocide police to the internatiinal court of human right.Your tears and sorrow will be over by the grace of God.The nigerian story needs to be told and heard. There are no government in nigeria but liars, crooks and criminals. The word government is an alien to nigerian leaders, that’s certain.
Absolutely wicked, inhuman, senseless action! May God forbid to happen this again and may HE displace, remove from authority those who are responsible for such action, in Jesus name. May God place more people in the authority whom have the God kind of motives, the right attitude, in Jesus name. Also I pray for God’s intervention for the homeless people, and may He help the helpless and also God bless those who help the needy and homeless, in Jesus mighty name.
