Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic days of the year, so we wanted to find out how Nigerians celebrate with their partners!
Valentine’s Day is the moment to woo and romance the girl or guy of your dreams, to be brave and give love a chance. It’s also the day for girls to collect the cash from their boys!!
BattaBox Presenter YP Fluorin hits the streets of Lagos to find out how Nigerians are celebrating Valentine’s Day this year.
“My plans for Valentine’s don’t just start on the day itself – every day is for love and romance,” says one young Lagos man.
“In Nigeria there is no food or money, so I will not be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year,” says another young man.
“People think Valentine’s Day is to be celebrated, but love is every day, and my boyfriend must understand that,” says one young woman.
So, what are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Are you surprising your partner with chocolates and flowers, or demanding money, or trying just to put your head down and work? Gist us in the comments.

Love to see what’s happening in the Motherland – – glad to see so many are not influenced by White Demons and their man-made – made up days. We have sense enough to realise any day is a day to love and appreciate those we love and care for
Why are Nigerians concerned with celebrating Valentine?
Is it their culture? And why do they celebrate these stuffs more than their oppressors who are the real owners
