Relationships are hard and so is raising children, so unfortunately some single mothers find it difficult to find a partner other than the father of their child.

There are so many reasons some single mother’s find a new relationship challenging…

Some men don’t want to be responsible for another man’s child, some consider the woman to be carrying too much ‘baggage’ and want someone to start a family with, not someone that already has one of her own. There are loads of reasons that many single mothers find it difficult to find love after having children but today BattaBox wants to be optimistic and ask Nigerians if they believe it is possible for single mums to find love again. Fingers crossed that they do!

Here is what some Nigerians had to say…

“There’s nothing impossible for God to do. If God is interested in their case, he can provide another person for them,” one lady laughs.

“Yes…but it depends on her age,” a woman says.

“It works better if the man knows at an early stage,” one man says.

“Yes they can if they position themselves and they have a plan,” another lady answers.

“It’s very possible. Mixing with people, going out…” another lady tells Odun.

Do YOU think single mums can find love again?

Thanks for watching!

SINGLE MUM CAN FIND LOVE AGAIN IF SHE’S NOT A RELATIONSHIONSHIP DROPOUT DUE TO HER DISRESPECT, NAGGING & FEMINISM

    EVEN AT THAT
IF SHE CHANGE INTO GOOD CHARACTER & FUN TO BE WITH
IRRESPECTIVE OF HER AGE; SHE WILL STILL FIND A MAN WHO WILL APPRECIATE; LOVE HER & HER CHILD/REN

Are single mothers viewed as “damaged or less than” other women here in Africa? The single mother could be single by NO CHOICE OF HER OWN( Death of spouse or divorced from an abusive relationship)… Technically those examples would be widowed or divorced, but nonetheless still SINGLE…So if she is a decent, quality loving person I say YES to love finding her because she is worthy of it…But if she is a T.H.O.T and never been married and has several “Baby Daddies” then God help and bless her…

The way in which Nigerians( in Africa )viewed single mothers is very poor to be honest , very very poor and very ignorantly. Being a single mother in Nigeria is like a taboo or she’s damaged in the society. For your information, Some single mothers are far way better than married or single ladies. They’re not interested in getting married but to be successful because they have already experienced relationship dramas in the past. However, not every single mother is interested in a relationship that will lead to marriage 👰. Single mothers can surely find love ❤️ 101%. I know a lot of single ladies out who are committing abortions like I don’t know what…..

It’s so unfortunate that in 2017 being a single mom is still look at as a taboo. This question in it’s self already stages single mothers at a disadvantage. Now please tell me are “single mothers” not human just like everyone else? if so then why must their case be different because they have a child. I thought the bases of two people being in a relationship was based on whether they find themselves compatible enough where both parties can love, respect and build with one another and experience life together. The ignorance needs to stop. Automatically people would  put the blame on the mother indicating that she was unfit or irresponsible which made her a single mom. There are so many reasons why someone may be a single parent. let’s not forget there are single father out there as well but they don’t have to bare the same shame. None the less regardless of the reason why someone has become a single parent it does not disqualify them from love. Now  with the whole idea of whether God warrants a single mom to find love or not… is a man made perception. God is not a partial God he wants what best for everyone of us. A few months ago Batta Box you posed the question about how long should one wait after being divorced  to remarry. Many answered with a timeline but no sentiments of negativity towards divorce where implied as we do towards to topic of single moms. My issue with this question is that it implies that if you are a single mom there is a possibility that no one will want you or that you are not deserving of love. The sad thing is that in Nigeria people do think this way and it’s quite disturbing. So rather than ask a question such as Can Single Moms find love (as if they don’t deserve it) a better fitting question would be how can we support and empower single parents in Nigeria. Or better why not interview some single parents and get their views on the issue of love and  what it is like to be a single parent. How can an outside person determine whether or not a single mother is deserving of love when It’s really up to the individual  and whether they want to be in love or not. #LetsDoBetter

1:49 had the best answer. The differing reason of the cause of singleness is the key issue.
