Nigerians have bride price peculiar to each culture and every tradition.

“Some amount of iphone 7s, like 5, 6, 7 probably for all the family members”

Flourin YP set out to ask the people on the street of Lagos what ridiculous thing they would include in their child’s bride price list.

Here are some funny comments;

“Bag of Diamond”.

“How much i have spent from conception till the day the guy actually wants to take her off”.

“Range Rover, three trailers of yam, many many things”.

“Kobo with hole, the one we spend in the olden days”.

Bride price is the amount of money, property, or other form of wealth paid by a groom or his family to the parents of the woman he is just about to marry.

It is an established principle in Nigeria that the payment of bride price is essential for the validation of any marriage regardless of the tribe.

“…You know what I will do? I will invite him over for lunch like I’m not angry, after inviting him I must have poisoned that rice, I will kill the guy, God will forgive me!” one lady admits.

“I will have to do the wedding again,” another lady says.

“I can decide to stab him, it depends on my mood,” one man threatens.
