Port Harcourt is one of Nigeria’s most visited cities both by Nigerians and foreigners.

However there doesn’t appear to be much to do in the capital and largest city of Rivers State.

So BattaBox decided to ask the people of Port Harcourt if there are any tourist attractions in Port Harcourt.

“When you call Port Harcourt town everybody knows.”

“Nothing. All attention is based in Lagos and Abuja.”

“In my secondary school we went on an excursion to Songhai Farm…that place is very nice.”

Well we have, so we sent our Warri presenter out and about to find out from the people of Delta State, which is better – Warri or Port Harcourt?

“So right now we are in Warri and there’s a popular statement, warri no dey carry last. How true is that statement?”

“No Warri dey carry last now,” one man calmly states LOL, “My friends and I say, Warri no dey carry last because they no actually dey the race,” he adds.

“Those people that say Warri doesn’t carry last, have not left the Warri,” another man says.

Port Harcourt are leaving their Nigerian boyfriends for expatriate oil workers but BattaBox didn’t want to jump to any conclusions so we decided to send our presenter into the field to find out from the people on ground –

What they think about this rumour and what they would do if their partner left them for a foreign oil worker.

Here’s what they had to say…

“If my girl was to leave me for a foreign worker, it will have to be an agreement…she will have to cut me in on something,” one young man surprisingly states.

“She cannot just leave you like that?” our Port Harcourt presenter clarifies.

“No now! Things are hard now!” he confirms.

“The economy is bad…most oil workers have the money to spend on these girls. So when they see somebody that can afford to pay, I think they go for the person,” another man confidently states.

Boli and fish is a meal that is eaten all over Nigeria. It can be enjoyed as a snack, shared with friends or eaten alone for lunch or dinner.

The sweet taste of the ripe plantain blends perfectly with the peppery fish making it one of the most popular meals in the country.

BattaBox has been hearing rumours though, about where to find the best boli and fish in Nigeria and apparently the place to search is Port Harcourt.

So BattaBox hit the Port Harcourt streets, to find out from the boli makers themselves…

Where to get the best boli and fish in Port Harcourt and what makes the boli in Rivers State so much tastier than everywhere else?

“If you taste this boli, you will forget this your interview and start selling this boli, it’s a very nice business, you can see people are even patronising us from everywhere,” one man promises as a customer grabs something from the fire.

“We sure can see, they are actually taking the chicken away from it though,” McCreeda says.

“The way we prepare it, the onion…slice it, put oil, pepper…and if you have money, you buy coke,” the same man responds when McCreeda asks him what makes his boli so special.

Would You Scrap The Port Harcourt Monorail??

You can be stationary for hours trying to get somewhere that is less than a mile away!

So it was no surprise when a monorail, a monorail is a mode of transportation in which the train has only one track that takes passengers all the way from Point A to Point Z, was suggested but it has been years now and the project is still incomplete!

So BattaBox decided to ask the people of Port Harcourt what they think should be done.

Should the new government finish the job their predecessors started or is it time to abandon the project?

Here’s what the people of Port Harcourt had to say…

“Many millions have entered that project and it’s still not working, so it’s better to stop and start something else,” one lady admits.

“If I was the present governor, I would put a lot of money into the project so they can continue where it stopped,” one gentleman answers.

“Does anyone actually know where the road leads?”

“I don’t even know where the road is linking to,” one man answers.

“I can’t tell you where it’s going to lead to,” another man admits.
