BattaBox presenter Odunayo heads to the streets of Lagos, Nigeria to find out from the men themselves.

“God created men to be rigid, and god created women to be flexible. That is why they are looking at us an not romantic,” says one young man.

“Nigerian men are not romantic! We are hustling up and down, so by the time we get home we are exhausted and just want to sleep,” says Olukayode.

“Every human being should be romantic because it’s about feelings. Nigerian men are still flesh and blood so if you trigger that emotion you will see romance,” says another Nigerian guy.

Romance can be anything from small things like holding the door open, buying flowers, or carrying a woman’s bags, to much bigger romantic gestures like expensive dates and proposing marriage.

“I carry my charger, cream, perfume inside,” says one funny guy

BattaBox presenter Timothy stop a couple of men on the streets of Lagos to ask them and check for himself what they carry in the bag.

“Its used to carry my laptop,” says one guy

“I’m an engineer, i have my tools inside,” replies

Whenever there is a robbery, the Nigerian police sometimes conducts a stop and search routine, targeted mostly at men walking around with a backpacks,suspecting them to contain stolen items, in a bid to fight crime and arrest hoodlums.

“A police man once stopped me, and i had bread in my backpack,” recounts one guy
