Nna, Battabox did you follow the rail a all or did you just stand at a
place?

I haven’t been in PH in a few years but it starts from Town Market and ends
at UAC bus stop. I think it’s important to see the original plan.

If they can draw up a path along or parallel to Aba Road, it’ll be a good
(expensive) idea. They might be able to get private investors who should
then charge the people. The good thing is the monorail will never have
go-slow.

I personally would have preferred for the state government to rent the
Federal rail lines (also in that area) and power diesel trains along those
long established routes.

In Africa I see! People want to abandon something that actually makes
sense. It is to decongest traffic. Buhari and his administration needs to

? the simpsons that predict hundred percent world events even 3 times over
with 5-10 years advance in some cases (unlike some ‘prophets’ that can’t

Smh I would first find out what happened to the rest of the money already
spent on the project and arrest those who were involved in eating the
money! maybe after recovering some of the funds, I’d definitely use the
remaining money plus add additional money to complete the project. Port
Harcourt is a congested city with poor road network. a functioning light
rail system is badly needed in the city. if there can be at least 10-12
stops in strategic locations, I think the traffic in the city will reduce
by at least 20-25 percent.

The best thing for any current or new Nigerian infrastructure project is to
allow the private sector to handle these. Let Chinese, Dutch, America, etc,
investors hire the proper managers, architects, engineers and skilled
workers to build these projects. The local and federal government can’t
handle the task to delegate these things. Once built, all monies will be
returned to the investors and the Nigerian government can sit back in shame
and take note on how to provide needs for it’s people. At present, you can
tell these projects are simply a means to embezzle government funds. Oil
has crashed, America is pumping more local oil so the demand will only come
from China primarily. Even that will have it’s limitations long term once
more efficient energy is used. Nigerians can take queues from the French
who lynched their leaders for abusing power. This project, like many, is an
abuse of power. The raping of our nation and the destruction of any hope
for future generations which will be at the mercy of foreign interests from
past and current administrations constantly making the same mistakes.

Well I would continue it ofcourse. It’ll ease transportation and decongest
traffic. This is good development. I guess Nigerians prefer chaos lol

The project should be extended and completed. Huge fund has already been
spent and should not be abandoned. Once completed, it will generate income
for the State and jobs for the people. Nigerians wake up from slumber. No
to wastages.
