3. Make sure they attend tertiary institutions or learn a trade (they must do at least one, no excuse)

There has to be a balance and a recognition and appreciation of each child’s unique character. One thing I don’t agree with, talking as a mother, is doing everything for children so that “they won’t suffer”. You’ll end up with an entitled, lazy over-dependent person. yes and no, cause I don't think beating is a solution to disiplain your children and apart from that I also dislike authoritarian up bringing, cause children need to have a say about their own life too. too feel free to tell their parents how they feel in a respectful way, so with all this the possibility that your children will see u as their trusted parent and friend is higher, than saying no all the time. I prefer a democratic up bringing what I will keep is the way my grandmother was always there for me and keeping my back, even when I misbehaved sometimes

I love all their opinions and it took me back memory lane. It’s important to instill discipline in a child but not fail to recognize the ever present reality of a changing time/era before us. Move with the trend of time, but most importantly, introduce them to God, the value of time, essence of life, love and appreciate other people around them.
