Construction of the road, health clinic, supplies of social amenities... water, electricity, library , transportation systems...Where is the state government, and what'd the federal government doing.

I am all for CSR, but it should not be by extortion, threats or the use of force. Frankly, the primary and most important CSR of any corporation is the payment of its taxes (and in Nigeria, the education tax and all other manner of charges, levies and pseudo-taxes that proliferate in that country). I bet that Dangote Sugar provides its own electric power and treated water, etc, despite paying its corporate taxes and charges (and its employees paying their own personal income taxes) – things that the govt supposedly collects taxes for. Funny enough, the Federal Government majority-owned (and the state govt were minority owners) Savanah Sugar for over 30 years from its establishment in the 1970s, how come Batta Box is not asking what those govts established in the community during those 30 years? PS: And btw, which sugar company anywhere in the world permanently employs over 3000 unskilled workers?

Dangote spent 300 million dollars to refurbish this formerly state owned sugar plant, he currently directly and indirectly employs over 100,000 people in adamawa. It’s the governments job to build schools and roads or to provide power & water not dangotes. Also what has the local govt been doing with tax revenues received from the plant??
